Hong Kong Film Festival – Project HK, a hybrid event with both cinema and online screenings featuring 11 movies and short films, was held in Singapore from March 12 to 14.

Live-streaming of post-screening Question & Answer sessions connecting filmmakers in Hong Kong and Singapore audiences were arranged for all cinema screenings to deepen understanding of the films and encourage exchanges between the creative industries of both places. Hong Kong Film Festival – Project HK in Singapore

Co-organised by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Singapore and Singapore Film Society with the support of Create Hong Kong of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Hong Kong Film Festival – Project HK was held in Singapore in March this year. Featuring 11 movies and short films, with the majority of them recent releases, for cinema or online screenings, Hong Kong Film Festival (HKFF) received overwhelming support from Singapore audiences who have been staunch supporters of Hong Kong movies.

Speaking at the Opening Night of the HKFF, the Director of the HKETO in Singapore, Mr Wong Chun To, attributed the prosperous development of the Hong Kong film industry to the city's diverse and international culture, large pool of creative talents, and freedom of expression as safeguarded by the Basic Law. Mr Wong pointed out that the Government has been providing various initiatives to support and promote the film industry, adding that comprehensive measures were implemented to address challenges faced by the industry under the COVID-19 pandemic.

Among the 11 titles selected, "Lion Rock" (獅子山上) was presented as the opening film. Two documentaries, "Bamboo Theatre" (戲棚) and "Keep Rolling" (好好拍電影), as well as three Fresh Wave short films, namely "The Bridge" (白沙堆), "Busydoingnothing" (忙於一事無成) and "Eternal Sunshine" (光), were also featured. Other titles selected for the film festival were "The Calling Of A Bus Driver" (阿索的故事), "Beyond The Dream" (幻愛), "Fatal Visit" (聖荷西謀殺案), "A Witness Out Of The Blue" (犯罪現場) and "Elisa's Day" (遺愛).
