Kick-off Event in Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR: Theatrical Performance Golden Cangue cum Opening Reception

The series of events arranged by HKETO in Singapore this year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) was unveiled with the renowned literary and theatrical work Golden Cangue March 31 - April 1, 2017.
More than 250 HKETO guests had enjoyed an evening of celebration and cultural experience of a Hong Kong theatrical production at the Theatre of The Esplanade, Singapore.
The Golden Cangue is among the most widely known works of 20th century Chinese literature star writer Eileen Chang (張愛玲), famed for her piercing insight on human nature. The theatrical production is directed by celebrated Hong Kong film-maker Ann Hui On-Wah (許鞍華) and produced by art entrepreneur Clifton Ko (高志森).
Featuring awarded theatrical artist Perry Chiu (焦媛), the Golden Cangue has been receiving big applauses from audience since its debut in 2009. This year, the work completed its 80th stage performance after touring Singapore, alongside with other Mainland China cities including Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangzhou, Zhuhai, Xiamen, Harbin, Shenzhen and Suzhou.
